These terms cover the Stirrup iPhone app and getstirrup.com. They are issued by New Lands Group LLC, an Illinois limited liability company, doing business as Stirrup.
What Stirrup is
Stirrup is an alarm app for shift workers. Alarms can come from a work schedule or be set by hand. You can turn on Stop Challenges so a ringing alarm asks for a short math or memory puzzle before it stops. You can add a Backup Contact. If you have not checked in by the missed-alarm deadline, which is never more than 20 minutes after the alarm first rings, Stirrup texts that person. Live texts are off until business texting registration is approved.
Stirrup does not promise that the phone will ring, that you will wake up, or that a shift will be covered. A dead battery, a phone that is off, or leaving the app’s alarm permission off can still stop a ring. On iOS versions before 26, Focus or the silent switch can too. Stirrup is not a medical device.
No account
You do not create a Stirrup account. Alarms and settings stay on the phone unless you turn on a feature that sends data off the device, such as crash reports or, later, a Backup Contact text. The privacy policy describes that: getstirrup.com/privacy.
SMS terms (Backup Contact texts)
New Lands Group LLC, doing business as Stirrup, runs the Stirrup Backup Contact text program. If you enter someone’s mobile number, you are telling us they agreed to get missed-alarm texts from this program. Do not add a number for a person who has not agreed. This program sends one text per missed alarm. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Supervisors
Stirrup is not a tool for watching one worker. If a workplace later receives reports, those reports are team totals only. They do not include a person’s stop times, a Backup Contact’s name or number, or a live alert that someone has not stopped an alarm.
Acceptable use
Do not use Stirrup to harass anyone, to text people who did not agree, or to upload a schedule you are not allowed to have.
The service can change
Features in a TestFlight build can be added or removed. This page will change when live texting turns on. The date at the top will change with it.
